International Advertising Festival “White Square” is about to open its doors for creators, advertisers, marketing directors and designers from all over the world for the fifth time. Maybe you remember it from last year, where I first published about this festival. Well, I am happy to announce that I will be publishing about the festival for the second time this year! Among the participants there are representatives of the major communicative agencies not only from Belarus but also from a number of other CIS and European countries. Being a main marketing and advertising event in Belarus, the annual Festival provides a link in the communications industry between West and East. This year Festival will be hold on 18th – 20th of April in Minsk, Belarus.
A new concept for the Festival has been offered by the famous Russian advertising agency “TomatDesign“. The creative director of the agency states that “White Square” is still young in comparison with its European fellows, but nevertheless, it is already a small milestone. Five years is not enough to sum up the outcomes, therefore the level of the Festival can be reflected in the comparative degree. “Prettier! Harder! Stronger!” is the official motto of the Festival that every year offers more drive and competition. As a new image for the Festival “TomatDesign” has offered an … egg.
Andrey Tarakanov, creative director of the agency, about the new image: “Well, firstly, it is simply beautiful… Secondly, it reflects in the best way the Festival growth and clearly invites everyone to participate in one of the most prestigious advertising festivals in CIS”.
A new conception reflects bilateralism of the Festival, its double-sided character: “White Square” from the very beginning is a meeting point for business and creativity. They have been always trying to prove one another “who has more balls” (or eggs in Russian equivalent).
One of the campaign’s slogans is “Stop hatching!” which underlines the idea of opening a new advertising year with the first results of successful advertising campaigns presented during the Festival.
So stop hatching really – show your craft in one or more of the 13 contests of the Festival and become a participant on the most beneficial terms! Submission of works for the competition in February are easy: you have just to fill in the application form that can be found on the official Festival’s web-page www.adfest.by and send it to the – [email protected].
