Sometimes I think that you have to treat your website like a physical store. What’s your business? Do you have a store? An office or some place else where your customers can visit you? When you have such a physical place to visit, you obviously want to make it attractive for your visitors. In an actual store you make decisions based on what your customers are interested in. You’ll let them know when there’s a sale with advertisements or posters in your store and you’ll furnish the building according to psychological facts about the best way to sell your stuff. It’s the same thing with websites. There are a lot of facts and researches about what’s best for your website. Use them and treat your whole web design the same way you’ll do when you’ll get visitors in a physical place.
