The Creature is an awesome photo project Mademoiselle Borcher, a creative mind from Copenhagen, Denmark, did with fiction photographer Maria Lomholdt & choreograper Vibeke Muasya a little while ago. The FAB make-up & hair is from Kenneth Holm Godskesen. This project is a visual story devided in several chapters. Today I have the first three chapters of this story. Enjoy!
Chapter 1: Becoming the Creature
“She is breathing, she is naked. Everytime she fills her lungs with air, her vains and muscles struggles to break free from her white and silky skin. Oh, she looks so beautiful. I become obsessed with this amazing form and her spine, like dragonscales, seduces me like nothing else. Suddenly, a sound, from the corner of the room. A corner outside my perspective. Small taps on the wooden floor. It sounds like a small symphony. The sound approaches and enters my line of view from the small crack of the door. Like a black shade something dark is starting to cover the floor near the woman. Good God, what is happening? The darkness is starting to climb the chair, touching the woman, ascending to the heights of her head. She is drowning in this enormeous black entity. In a blink of an eye, I discover what this creature is. Scarabs. Thousand of them. Building in size. Conquering everything in their way and completely swallowing this female beauty. Her body starts to move. She rises and lets her feet carry her strong appearance. The blackness has become somewhat of a dark cloak, dress or garment. Crawling on her, it shifts as she moves, adapting to the curves of her body. This creature is being worn. She turns and looks directly at me and disappears into the vast element of space.
Like magic, she is gone.”
Chapter 2: The Make Belive Fairy
“As she slowly moved closer to the mirror, she noticed a small crack in the glass. It looked odd. Like a small hole. She lifted her finger and touched the sharp edges of the uneven glass. It felt strangely enough like scales from a serpent or something similar. She placed her entire hand on it to really embrace the feeling, but suddenly the glass changed its reflective ability into something much darker. Within seconds, it became completely black and started to shift form. She could not believe her eyes. It had become some sort of portal. It seemed like something she once before had dreamt. Her role as the Creature Queen, became more and more fitting. It all seemed so unreal. So enticing.
Before she new what was happening, a gust of wind came sweeping out of the mirror. Grabbing her, pulling her. Into the black void. She did not resist. She wanted to satisfy her curiosity and as the black matter surrounded her like nothing else, the world she new, was ending and the world of fable began”
Chapter 3: The Queen
“The majestic trees above me stood proudly and tall like beacons of hope. As I made my way through the dense forest floor, I noticed something ahead. At first, I considered it to be nothing; however, as my path slowly disappeared behind me, I became aware that this nothing, was much more…”
