The Art of Typography #96 – The Imperfections

A picture says more than a thousand words!…But what if those words make a picture? Every friday we deliver you new fresh typography art. This week we feature a beautiful typography dress created by Hui-Ni Su a designer from Brooklyn, NY, USA. The inspiration for this project came from the Japanese author Sei Shonagon, best known as the author of The Pillow Book. It is a book of observations about her life during the early 11th century while she was serving in the court of the Empress. It includes her personal thoughts, interesting events and poetry. This project is based on Hui-Ni Su’s observations of daily life’s imperfections, and each words or sentences are laser-cut out of card.
