We’ve all seen examples of health and safety gone mad. With people being more health & safety aware these days, businesses and government bodies bend over backwards to ensure safety is adhered to as far as possible. From well-meaning but excessive safety guidance to using ‘health & safety’ as an excuse for other concerns, sometimes things get out of hand. We all want to be kept safe, but sometimes the interpretation of the rules goes too far!
In this project, Vibrant Doors looked into some of the most over the top health and safety myths. Using real HSE case data, the team created 8 myth busting graphics to demonstrate examples of health and safety getting out of hand! In the wholesome and comical style of vintage government advisory leaflets, the graphic illustrations bring to life the apparent concerns behind wild bizarre health & safety claims. From ‘dangerous’ hanging baskets of flowers to only allowing qualified electricians to change a lightbulb, you can check out the busted myths in the graphics below.
