It’s been a while since we featured one of his projects, but today we’re back with a poster & trailer for Uppsala International Short Film Festival 2018. Created by Viktor Hertz, a graphic designer & filmmaker from Sweden. If you’re a long term follower of our blog, this name should sound familiar as we’ve featured a lot of his projects over the years… And this is certainly a project we could not let go unnoticed. An incredible creative and unique process with a create, colorful result!

Viktor: I’ve been doing these posters and promo trailers for some years now, and it’s always a nice creative challenge to make something physical. Previously, I’ve been working with materials like screws, ribbons and rubber bands. This year, I chose to create the poster artwork with transparent plastic tubes and filling them with colour, and filming the whole process for the trailer.

“The most painstaking and complicated part was to arrange about 100 meters of tubes on the wooden board, pulling them through the holes and also twirling them around each other, to make a balanced and technically functioning design. Also, filming the colours running through the tubes was tricky, as I didn’t have a clue where the colour actually would turn up in this mess, sometimes. Moving lamps and sucking colour through the tubes at the same time didn’t make it easier. But, it was probably the most fun and challenging project I’ve done, so far.”
