The Spanish artist Lorenzo Duran uses the leaves as a canvas for his engravings. After washing and drying he removes segments with surgical precision and extreme care in excess of the segments, using a technique similar to that of traditional paper cutting. This last step is obviously the more difficult given the fragile material chosen. The result of this process is a series of amazing geometric artworks. Lorenzo calls his work Naturayarte, an art project that allows him and his family to live by doing what they love. He uses components from nature that helps him complete his ideas surrounding what he considers to be art. In this post, a collection of those awesome pieces, enjoy!
