A look at the Works of Tinneke De Block

View gallery

We start this week with a look at the works of Tinneke De Block, a graphic designer by day and fashion illustrator by night – based in Antwerp, Belgium.

Tinneke: My favorite topic is the female – her shape, eyes, clothes & accessoires, or in a lifestyle setting. I want to make the illustration more interesting by working with graphic elements or sensitive lines. My work exudes a positive atmosphere full of femininity and playful accents.

I use three different working methods:
– to paint on canvas (acrylic and/or charcoal)
– to draw on paper (pen/ink, and/or gouache/watercolor)
– a scanned sketch with digital coloring (photoshop)

Currently I’m working on my own stationery like cards, notebooks and others. Interior decorations like murals, art prints and posters are my way of creating a more personalized stylish and lovely home.
