Today, we have a look at some works of Kotryna (aka Kata), an editorial illustrator from Vilnius, Lithuania. Working worldwide, mostly on nerdy editorial subjects, such as science, technology, finances, data, etc. Inspired by geometry, patterns, vintage posters, book covers, and design in general.
In our ‘submitted portfolios’ series everyone gets a chance to get featured. Submit 10 till 15 of your best works, tell us something about yourself and maybe your work will be here sometime…
My work consists of irrational concepts that come from the concrete articles and is created by digital collage techniques, containing a lot of handmade textures. I love to stylize the geometry of things, leaving only the most important part, just enough to express the message behind the concept.
My head is full of random scientific and historic facts that are not connected in any logical order but it helps to start a conversation. I’m also a coffee addict who loves a good read in a balcony and listens to Charlie Rose show while working.
