A look at the Works of François Jornod

View gallery

Today we have a look at the works of François Jornod, a 62 years old teacher by profession and a self-taught artist by passion from Switzerland.

François: I have already had a few exhibitions in my country (Neuchâtel, Geneva, St-Aubin, etc.). Acrylic is the paint I use for my paintings and the tools are mainly brushes and palet knives. I need to paint in order to express my emotion. Vivid colours and forms, (usually circular) are the two basic elements that are shown in my pictures. Simple and recurring forms and common objects are my main source of inspiration. I am attracted by ordinary scenesin life…and I need to express them on my canvas!
