View gallery

This week, we start with a look at the works of Bianca Tschaikner, an Austrian illustrator and printmaker who is looking for inspiration everywhere in the world. Her work ranges from illustrated books and artist books over etchings to small acrylic paintings and illustrated maps.

Above all, she loves quick ink pen sketches to capture moments while traveling. Her new book “SAVARI – an illustrated journey through Iran & India” is a travelogue full of drawings, sketches, poems and notes, capturing her day-to-day adventures during her journey of five months and almost 25.000 kilometres of distance covered. Her work has appeared in several Austrian and international newspapers, magazine and books and has been exhibited in numerous exhibitions worldwide.
