Readymag – The Feature of Publishing

Lev Manovic in his latest book “Software takes control” thoroughly explains the ubiquitous presence of software in our digital condition. Particularly interesting to me (Mattia Bernini) is the radical shift he envisioned in the production of said software from being desktop based application to web based one. Mattia: “Throughout the past month I’ve experienced first hand this change. As part of my BA Interaction and Moving Image course I’ve created an online publication using a fantastic web based application I believe every reader of DI should know about.”

Readymag, is a drag&drop application that allows you to design new web based content in a matter of hours. Incredibly intuitive and easy to use it allows a great deal of design freedom. Obviously if you’re trying to create flashy html5 contortionism this is not the tool for you. But if instead you’re in search for an accessible, easy to use and incredibly well designed tool to publish beautiful content online, then Readymag is what you’re after.

Finding their inspiration in the beauty of print and functionalist design philosophy, the Readymag team aims to rethink digital interfaces, mixing great design with latest web-technologies and to constantly create the most elegant, comprehensible, easy-to-use publishing tools — continuing the work begun by Mr. Gutenberg and Mr. Mergenthaler.

On Readymag you can create striking photographic collections, design presentationspublications, magazines or flow mags. You can publish your mags for one single month or for the whole year.

Check it out for yourself to see how easy it is to publish one of your great creations!
