The cooperation between Visit Helsinki and Helsinki-based photographer Jussi Hellsten that started in November
2013 has resulted in more than 200 interesting and current photos of Helsinki being posted on the Helsinki365.com
The photos make a daily presentation of a current matter, characteristic of Helsinki. The themes include, for example, design, food culture, the locals, events, the sea, architecture and urban nature. The blog has already had 32 000 unique visitors from more than 130 countries. After Finland, the next largest visitor groups come from Great Britain, Japan and Germany. The most popular single photos have been shared more than 1,000 times in the social media.
The goal of the Helsinki365 partnership is to increase the awareness of Helsinki and its attractiveness as a city holiday destination and to transmit the city atmosphere year-round especially to international visitors.
Besides the Helsinki365 photography project, Hellsten is known, for example, as the photographer of the Flow Festival and Slush.
The summer partner of the Helsinki365 photography project is Pelago bicycles, which provides Hellsten with a Finnish city bike. The other cooperation partner of the project is Foka, importer of Leica cameras, which enables the eternalisation of the city with a new Leica T camera.
