Today I am pleased to share with you the latest unpublished gallery by Michael Taylor. The project, called Helios, is based around the theme ‘Fire light’ and is part of the lifetime project Lumen: light itself is the subject. All images were photographed in outdoor environmental contexts.
There are three approaches: the detailed structure of fire; movement/poi exploring the energy of fire light; burning mannequins signifying the human condition. Colour harmony is emphasised, especially complimentary colours such as orange and blue. Elemental forces (fire/light, earth, air, water) and associated metaphors are evident.
