Two New York based Romanian creatives – Alex Eftimie and Mihai Botarel – have turned one of Constantin Brancusi’s most famous works of art – The Endless Column – into an endless scroll.
In a modern homage to the famous work, they created the account @TheEndlessColumn on Instagram and invited young Romanian artists to interpret parts of the column in their own visual style, continuing Brancusi’s legacy for the new generations of artists and art lovers.

The two pledge to continue the project ‘endlessly’ and are now opening the project to all international artists who want to contribute.

“We can safely say that Brancusi’s dream of a truly Endless Column is fulfilled in 2017, in the medium that can make it endless and, most importantly, relevant to young generations – social media. Our project is a call to all artists, museums, art galleries to join the project. We intend to bring the project to life in the physical space as well.” says Mihai Botarel, one of the creators of the project.

Contributing modern artists: Ghica Popa, Miruna Macri, Bianca Dumitrascu, Raluca Bararu, Diana Papuc, Lia Bira and Andrei Robu.
