Dimitris Poupalos is a distinguished photographer based in Athens, Greece, specializing in architecture and advertising photography. His career set off in 2000 photographing for Imaco SA publishing company and since then, he has been collaborating with the biggest production and advertising companies and design agencies in Greece. His portfolio also includes commissions from Astir Palace Hotel, Elounda SA, Athenaeum, Divani Collection, Ledra Marriott, Olympic Airways, Seka Bunkering Station SA, the Greek Ministry of Tourism etc. Characteristic of his images is the cinematic, intense use of light and the inventive use of creative techniques. The strong sense of narrative flow in Poupalos’ work fosters wider understandings of the “real” in contemporary photography, in each and every one of his images. In 2010, his work was nominated for a Hasselblad Masters Award.
