Alyssa Marshall is the next artist I like to introduce to you. Born in 1994 in northeastern Ohio, and recently graduated from Lesley University College of Art and Design in Cambridge, Massachusetts where she studied fine arts and art history, here is her introduction:
Alyssa: My work deals primarily with the intimacies of her sexuality as a female. The masquerading of women to blend in with their surroundings has been a reoccurring theme in my work. These fantastical worlds that they are hidden in are composed of feminine ideals that I have personally struggled with, along with many other women in society. My artwork is meant to capture the female experience. It is meant to show that I am vulnerable and afraid, but not afraid to admit that I am vulnerable and afraid. The emotions that my art questions are the same emotions I question in myself.
