The 3D Illustrator behind AirPano City Book

Russian born designer Maxim Shkret, well known for his wonderful digital portraits of wild animals and people, is also the guy behind the City Book app. The app is a collection of 360° virtual tours of New York, Paris, Barcelona, Dubai, Amsterdam, Singapore, Rome, Shangai, Buenos Aires and Moscow from a bird’s-eye view. There is also a virtual reality mode, in which you can zoom yourself into the cities.

“The project involved a lot of people…from programmers to photographers. My task was to develop an uniform style to illustrate the 10 cities and some icons. For this work I used 3ds Max, Corona Render and Photoshop for the textures,” explained Maxim.
